Cyberdating has strong, growing fan base
A Pew Research Center report said 79 percent of 3,200 people polled say
online dating is a "good way to meet people" and 52 percent said the experience
was mostly positive. Among those who have never tried dating services,
44 percent thought it was a good way to meet people. The report said about
16 million people in the United States have used Internet dating services.
Mike Manderfeld, 54, of Minneapolis also has tried at least four sites
during the four years he has been Web dating since his divorce. "I'm 100
percent behind it," Manderfeld told USA Today.
